ACTRESS

Having immersed herself for many years into the music industry, Whitsa could not pursue her endless passions without including acting. In 2008, she began taking acting classes at Montreal's School of Performing Arts and travelled to New York City, attending acting workshops at the prestigious Lee Strasburg Theatre Institute, The Institute of Film and Television and the Stella Adler Institute. Her film credits include the movies "All Souls", "The Score", "Rollerball", "Sortie 67", "Making The Band" and the upcoming film "Too Tall". In 2010, Whitsa landed the lead role in the award-winning Ugandan/Canadian feature film, "MAKING THE BAND", by Phad Mutumba, and attended the Zanzibar International Film Festival in June 2011 for which MTB was selected to be the opening film winning the Chairman's Award, Best Musical Score and acknowledging Whitsa's performance with a nomination for Best Actress.

SINGER

Whitsa is a self-taught singer who spent most of her childhood singing for her family and friends. At the young age of 12, Whitsa began writing her own songs and discovered she had a natural talent for creating melodies and hooks. At age 19, with supportive encouragement from her friends, she decided to join a spiritual gospel choir in which she learned a full range of vocal techniques and fell desperately in love with the art. After three years, Whitsa left the choir. What began as a simple love of singing, would then embark her on a musical journey in which she shared the stage with numerous notable acts such as La Gamic, Dubmatique, Rain Men, Catburglaz, Carl Henry, Mitsou and many others. She co-wrote and recorded her first collaboration piece with Rain Men entitled "Move On", which was released as the second single off of their album "Armageddon" in 1998. She has also performed on many of Quebec's most prestigious stages, including Montreal's Spectrum, Club Soda, Le Capitole de Québec, The Metropolis, and made television appearances on Le Poing J, Musique Plus, Opération Enfant-Soleil Telethon and Bons Baisers de France. In 2005, Whitsa joined Corporate disco band, Airport 77, and continues performing at various musical and social events, which includes Le Casino de Montreal.

DANCER

Whitsa began her dancing career early on in her formative years when she joined her secondary school's contemporary dance troupe resulting in being hired as an ensemble by Montreal's acclaimed theatrical venue "La Maison Hantée" to perform on a weekly basis. The troupe went on to perform at Montreal's "Festival of Dance" and at "Le Salon de la Jeunesse" which was staged an the infamous Olympic Stadium. Her continuous desire to explore different avenues would bring her to leave the troupe at age 18 to pursue other destinations. Her infinite love of creative expression continued with appearances in "Zellers Super Circus" featuring traditional African dance and the "St. Tropez Latin Dance Troupe" performing Latin modern dances.

MODEL

Whitsa's love for esthetically elegant fashion styles gave her the confidence to participate at different fashion show events in Montreal, including the "LaSalle College Fashion Show" two years in a row. Her fierce sensual catwalk strut and her subtle confidence enabled her to get recognition from numerous Montreal fashion designers. But of course, Whitsa was not done exploring her consummate abilities and continues on with her journey to entertain and inform legions of people with the precious value of artistic freedom.
